Description from the seller
Antique Catholic rosary made from tested silver, complete with its original dark brown case.
The rosary is composed of numerous spherical silver beads, larger ribbed decorative beads, a heart-shaped centre medal with hand-applied engraved decoration, and a crucifix with Christ figure and INRI plaque.
The metal has been electronically tested. Measurements showed approximately 86–91% silver, confirming that the rosary is made from a high silver-content alloy rather than being merely silver-plated. Photographs of the electronic test and printed analysis report are included.
Weight: 15.69 g
Material: tested silver
Origin: possibly Southern European, likely Italian, based on the style and construction; no maker’s or place mark has been identified, so this attribution cannot be confirmed.
The rosary remains in good authentic antique condition, with natural patina, fine scratches and age-related wear consistent with its age and devotional use. The original dark brown case also shows normal signs of age and use.
A complete and attractive antique devotional object, particularly interesting because of the original case, decorative heart-shaped centre medal, crucifix and documented silver testing.
