What a thrill, how this little one sounds... I was testing once again the perfection of surround sound in the bass register with no leakage down to a pinky on the right and left transmission as well as in A♭ on the left and right, and to mention the middle register the A (sixth) and the C# as well as the natural C with the left pinky... In short, you can see the photos of the physical condition of this American SYMPHONY clarinet with no bends, no dings, and no oxides. (A certain sensation of keys with a finish that is less shiny, more matte than the body, but it’s natural wear; there are no oxides or chips in the enamel, nothing more. Very nice overall, I’ve fitted some great pads, some leather and others skin so they fit perfectly and achieve what’s described: sonic perfection. The issue of playability and key precision: It has been thoroughly serviced and all springs exert optimal pressure both on the keys that open and on those that close. The cork assembles very well and is lubricated; the bore is excellent and, in short, I don’t think I’ve missed anything of the restoration this American clarinet has undergone. The bore, bell or mouthpiece shank is original, of course, and nothing more... we ship it in a soft hanging pouch and, of course, it is packed in a sturdy cardboard box with secure packaging and precise dimensions for a fragile package. Nothing more, there’s another jewel in B♭ offered in this emblematic auction and any aspirant or already-musician can surely acquire it, most likely by a smart bid. Regards.
