Magnificent Hermès silk twill scarf titled "Springs", designed by artist Philippe Ledoux in 1974, reissued in 1981.
A classic among Hermès scarves.

A bit of history:
"Inspired by an engraving kept at the Château de Malmaison, this scarf by Philippe Ledoux, one of Hermès' historical designers, features in its center the Phaéton of Napoleon I's son. This horse-drawn carriage takes its name from Helios' son, personification of the sun in Greek mythology. Seizing his father's solar chariot, of which he lost control, Phaethon perished after failing to embrace the world. This sumptuous little phaeton is adorned with all the attributes of the empire. Built in 1812 by the coachbuilder Tremblay, it is kept at Schönbrunn Palace, in Vienna, where the Emperor's son spent a large part of his life."
According to Arfon's Dictionary of Art Edition Scarves, it is considered fairly rare and fairly sought-after (photo attached).
Very good overall vintage condition despite a tiny stain (last photo).
