Teapot - Yixing clay - No.1 Black Apple Teapot

A collectible vintage Yixing Zisha “Black Apple” teapot, produced by Yixing Zisha Factory No.1 during the 1970s.

The “Black Apple” is a well-known and highly collectible classic form among vintage Factory No.1 Yixing teapots. This example is made from dark Zini (purple clay), with the characteristic rounded apple-shaped body, short spout, circular handle and simple ball finial.
