Elegant decorative table lamp crafted in a classic style, with a finely built metal base in warm brass/bronze tones. The combination of the square, stepped base, the sleek central section, and the tall fluted column gives the lamp a stately architectural appearance reminiscent of classical columns and neoclassical interior design.

The base is composed of several profiled and progressively offset sections. From the square central portion a slender, vertically ribbed column rises. These cannelures catch the light beautifully and emphasize the gold-colored metal sheen. The various polished and more matte surfaces provide an attractive contrast.

The lamp is completed by a large conical shade in a beige/taupe shade. The material of the shade has a striking, irregular texture with fine vein and crease lines. When the lamp is lit, this texture becomes even more visible, creating a pleasant, warm, and atmospheric light. Due to the generous shade and relatively tall base, the lamp has a considerably present presence and easily becomes a focal point in a room.

The lamp is fitted with a cord and a switch on the cord with dimmer function. On this control there are, among other things, a CE mark and a “Made in Italy” marking visible. This is an interesting detail that is clearly captured in the photos. Based on this marking alone it is not possible to determine with certainty who the manufacturer or designer of the complete lamp is; therefore the lamp is offered without a specific designer or manufacturer description.

Condition

The table lamp is in good used vintage condition, appropriate to its age and use. On the metal parts there are localized signs of use, small scratches, discoloration, patina, and a few dark spots/oxidation traces visible. Especially on the fluted column and around the base these signs of age are noticeable up close. They give the metal an authentically lived-in character.

The lamp shade also shows pronounced surface texture. This texture forms an important part of the shade’s appearance. Any minor signs of use and aging should be evaluated from the detail photos.

Style and application

Thanks to its classic design, this lamp pairs well with Hollywood Regency, neoclassical, classic, eclectic, and vintage interiors. Beautiful as a large table lamp on a console, sideboard, end table, or coffee table, but also suitable as atmospheric lighting in a living room, study, hallway, or bedroom.
