The cufflinks are in very good vintage condition. The porcelain centres remain glossy and attractive, with the heraldic lion motifs clearly preserved. Fine surface marks and lines are visible under close inspection. The gold-tone settings, arms and fastenings show light scratches, small marks and minor age-related discolouration. Both swivel mechanisms are complete and functional.
The original presentation box shows considerable age-related deterioration. Its blue fabric covering is breaking down and sheds small blue particles. These particles can be wiped away easily from the cufflinks and surrounding surfaces, but the shedding is ongoing and may be inconvenient during handling or storage. The white interior also shows visible staining and general wear.
