Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Art Deco enamelled round bread and/or cake tin from circa 1930–1940, made in Germany, with a 36 cm diameter and 14.5 cm height, in good used condition with minor age-related enamel wear and some repaired areas.
Description from the seller
Enamelled Art Deco bread and/or cake tin from the period circa 1930-1940, manufactured in Germany.
Notable features:
- Its large round size with a diameter of no less than 36 cm and a height of 14.5 cm, making the tin suitable not only for ordinary bread but also, for example, for large round loaves and large cakes.
- The hinged and slightly domed lid features a handsome geometric spray decoration in purple and orange; the lid also has a Bakelite handle in orange (slightly discolored toward light brown).
The tin is in good used condition. Over time there has been some damage to the enamel, both on the top of the lid (one spot), the edges, and the bottom; the interior has also yellowed/discolored with use. The enamel damage has later been partly filled with enamel repairs, which have a lighter tint and were not executed very carefully; nonetheless this largely prevents further corrosion of the underlying metal.
Otherwise a relatively rare and unusual tin, with the exterior enamel largely intact and glossy and the decorations retaining their color well; also still perfectly usable in the kitchen.
The photos are part of the description.
Professionally packed, insured, and registered shipment. Pickup in Alkmaar (Netherlands) is also possible.
