Frame (2) - Wood - A pair of golden frames.

Lot of two antique frames in gilded wood, from different periods and styles. The first is a sober, straight-lined frame in gold leaf with the red bole visible through natural wear, giving a very decorative aged look. The second is Rococo-style frame with rich carved ornamentation of leaves and flowers, bright gilding, which retains its original glass and a green passe-partout with a gilded edge. Both in good overall condition, with the wear typical of their age (see photographs). Perfect for framing engravings, old photographs, miniatures, or mirrors.
Frame 1 – Plain gilded frame with reddish vein (bole)

• Exterior measurements: 46 x 37 cm
• Interior measurements (sight): 38.5 x 29.5 cm
• Smooth gold-leaf frame, with the red bole visible in worn areas, typical of traditional water gilding technique.

Frame 2 – Gilded frame with Rococo relief and green passe-partout

• Exterior measurements: 38 x 32 cm
• Interior measurements (sight): 31 x 26 cm
• Carved frame with leaf and flower relief motifs, aged gilded finish, includes glass and passe-partout (passe-partout) in a sage green shade with a gilded edge.
