Large artisanal-scale naval model representing the passenger liner “Ville de Strasbourg”.
This piece has been made entirely by hand in wood with numerous metal details: rails, lifeboats, chimneys, masts, portholes and superstructures.
The model rests on a substantial carved base depicting waves and bears an identification plate “Ville de Strasbourg”.
The ensemble features a functional interior lighting system. When powered, many portholes and openings light up, offering a very beautiful decorative effect.
A piece with a strong presence and many artisanal construction details visible across the hull and decks.
Overall condition good for its age with some signs of wear, small deformations and rigging lines to be re-tied or re-fixed depending on the future owner's expectations.
Ideal item for a naval-model collector, maritime enthusiast, nautical décor or folk art.
