Lot of two Chinese porcelain plates with polychrome lotus and flower decorations, diameters 14 cm and 13.5 cm, dating to circa 1850–1900 with gilded borders, in good used condition showing age-related wear, provenance private collection.

Set of two Chinese porcelain plates in polychrome – Lotus and flower decors
Description :
Beautiful lot consisting of two antique Chinese porcelain plates, featuring refined polychrome decorations and borders enhanced with gold.
The first plate, 14 cm in diameter, is adorned with an elegant white egret in the middle of a lotus basin, with broad green leaves and pink flowers. A Chinese calligraphic inscription accompanied by a red seal completes the composition.
The second plate, 13.5 cm in diameter, presents a particularly colorful decor made up of flowers, foliage and vegetal motifs, arranged around a central medallion depicting a fruit, probably a peach. The rim is also gilded.
Both pieces bear Chinese inscriptions and seals on the reverse, attest to their decorative and traditional character.
The set offers a beautiful pairing of two different but perfectly complementary designs.
