Vintage Scheurich West German terracotta vase dating from 1960–1970, orange with a 41 cm wide body, 17 cm deep, and 17 cm high, made in Germany by Scheurich and featuring a bold glossy white drip glaze with a single curved handle; excellent condition with minimal signs of wear.
Description from the seller
A striking vintage Scheurich Keramik West German pottery jug/vase, dating from the mid-20th century, most likely the 1960s–1970s.
Made in warm matte terracotta with a bold glossy white free-form drip glaze, this is a very decorative example of classic West German mid-century pottery. The rounded sculptural body, flared neck and single curved handle give it a strong retro look that works particularly well in a Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian or eclectic interior.
The base is impressed W. GERMANY with the Scheurich factory mark and model numbering.
A lovely statement piece and a good example of increasingly collectible West German Fat Lava / Scheurich pottery.
Condition: Good vintage condition with light age-related surface wear
