Vintage Fountain - 1940-1950

This is a complete decorative indoor wall fountain, comprising a gadrooned upper water reservoir with its removable lid, a small brass faucet, and a lower recovering basin (receptacle basin). All of the ceramic pieces are adorned with a hand-painted polychrome design featuring figures in period costumes (peasants in tricorne hats) amid twigs and fine floral motifs. The whole is firmly mounted on a carved and molded wooden mounting panel.
