Fred Deux (1924-2015) was an artist and writer under the pseudonym Jean Douassot. Despite the attention paid to the dissemination of his work, these two aspects are closely linked. Thus, from 1966, he began taking notes on the sheet that protects his drawings in progress. This note-taking becomes almost systematic and records a voice parallel to the artwork.
