Vol. 1 Fasti: pp. 416 pages numbered, followed by 22 unnumbered pages containing the important astronomical-humanistic treatise «Cl. Ptolemaei Inerrantium stellarum significationes per Nicolaum Leonicum et Graeco translatae», including a final colophon.
Vol. 2 Amatoria: pp. 425 + 1 blank leaf, colophon
Vol. 3 Metamorphoses: pp. 423 + 3 blank leaves, colophon
Libraria d’amatore of the late seventeenth century in full leather, spine with five raised bands, and six compartments, gilt abraded fillets on the bands, titles impressed in gold on the second compartment and monogram AM on the others. Boards with a geometric border of gold fillets enclosing at the center a mirrored and interwoven monogram "AM", set within a very fine heraldic oval with floral and foliate motifs pressed in gold to tiny irons.
Presence of two ancient paper labels indicating 18th-century location and inventory, pasted on the front free endpaper of two of the three volumes (with contemporaneous manuscript notes in ink and a red pen mark of deletion/strike).
Title-pages clean, free of later ownership signatures or modern stamps.
Original title-pages with the woodcut mark of the Griffin of the Lyonese publisher.
Text fully framed by extremely fine red fillets drawn by hand (réglage) on all pages of each volume. Gilded edges.
Binding relatively solid. Spine and boards in decent condition; several flaked patches of leather on the boards and along the hinges, straps, due to age, which do not compromise the stability of the volumes, corners somewhat worn. Natural and very light browning of the paper stock. No serious foxing, water stains or wormholes.
