Description
Heavy and robust antique brass telescope (refractor-type). This type of finder was used around 1900 on fixed tripods for long-distance observations.
The objective is made of heavy, solid brass with steel accents and has an authentic patina. At the bottom there is the original curved brass mounting bracket. A atmospheric decorative object that fits perfectly in an industrial, classic or nautical interior.

Details & condition:

* Mechanical: Equipped with a large central brass adjustment screw and a beautifully worked eyepiece at the rear with a fine, concentric circle pattern.
* Optical condition: The large front lens at the front shows clear, heavy signs of aging and damage, making it completely opaque. The object is therefore no longer functionally usable, but offered solely as a historical collectible and decorative object.
* Mounting bracket: The sturdy lower bracket has at the bottom a hand-flattened groove/clearance that was used for the original securing on the spindle. This artisanal detail underscores the authentic origin of the object.
