Description from the seller

Offered with no minimum price:

Honda CMX 450 C Rebel from 1987.
In a fully original condition, true '80s beauty.

Super cool motorcycle with many original details. In addition, this CMX 450 has a very low mileage of 12,650 miles (that’s +/- 20,000 km). The motorcycle came from a woman; after she had children, it ended up in the shed and has not been outside since. It has stood there for several years.

The motorcycle needs to be started again. The engine block is accessible and should start with starting spray and a battery booster (see the video below). The carburetors need to be cleaned and a new battery needs to be installed.

Equipped with alloy wheels and a nice set of leather side bags (three-piece). There is an original, large 'Rebel' sticker on the tank. This was only applied to a small portion of Rebel models at the time and gives the bike that quintessential '80s retro look. A cool detail for enthusiasts and collectors!

The 450 was intended for riders who wanted the look of a cruiser but sought more power and mature riding characteristics. Unlike many American cruisers, the emphasis was not on a huge V-twin or large displacement, but on a motorcycle that rode easily and required little maintenance.

Where many cruisers were equipped with a traditional V-twin, Honda deliberately chose a different approach. The CMX 450 C received a smoothly running parallel-twin with a six-speed gearbox, giving it livelier and more refined riding behavior than many of its rivals. The six-speed gearbox was quite remarkable for a cruiser in this class in the 1980s. The sixth gear serves as a comfortable overdrive for longer trips.

Interestingly, the CMX 450 remained in production for only two model years (1986 and 1987), making it relatively rare today.

The motorcycle has a valid Dutch license plate.
If desired, export paperwork can be requested for €35,-
With these papers you can register it throughout Europe.
Delivered including an invoice listing the technical specifications.

No reserve price: It will be sold to the highest bid.

The motorcycle can be viewed and picked up in Winssen (Gelderland), Netherlands.
We can arrange transport!
Transport possible via a transport company (buyer pays transport costs).

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
