Description from the seller
Offered without a minimum price:
Honda CMX 450 C Rebel from 1986.
Lovely custom classic motorcycle, 40 years old.
In the early 1980s the popularity of cruisers grew enormously. Honda responded with the Rebel series: the look and relaxed seating of an American cruiser, combined with Honda's reliable Japanese engineering. The CMX450C appeared in 1986 as the bigger brother of the Rebel 250, but was only produced for two model years. Consequently, the 450 is much less common today.
Nice project to restart; it has stood still for several years.
The motorcycle will start with starter spray and a battery booster, see video:
https://youtu.be/9oYtoL8IcPI
Carburettors need cleaning and the battery needs replacement.
The throttle cable is unfortunately broken and must be replaced.
The inside of the tank still looks neat, see photo.
A nice basis for the handy tinkerer!
Documents and key present.
What is notable is the choice of a 447cc parallel twin with two carburettors, four valves per cylinder and a six-speed gearbox. Instead of just cruising calmly at low revs, the Rebel 450 is surprisingly lively and likes to rev. The combination of light weight, low seat and its quirky engine gives it a character clearly different from many traditional cruisers of that era. It is precisely this combination that over the years has earned the Rebel 450 a loyal following.
A great project to bring back to life! A nice base with plenty of potential to add your own touch. Who will give this classic a second life?
The motorcycle has a valid Dutch registration.
If desired, export papers can be requested for €35.
With these papers you can register it throughout Europe.
Will be delivered including an invoice stating the technical specifications.
No reserve price: It will be sold to the highest bid.
The motorcycle can be viewed and picked up in Winssen (Gelderland), the Netherlands.
We can arrange transport.
Transport possible via a transport company (costs borne by the buyer).

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
