Description from the seller
1995 Ducati 916SP - 401st. - only 3,963 km - 1st hand - Model year 1995 - Registration 2001
Over the years we have become accustomed to dealing with Ducatis that take your breath away. Here too, we are very proud to offer you a Ducati 916 SP, which is so uniquely exceptional.
This Ducati 916 SP has only traveled 3,963 km and a registration entry in the Italian papers.
It is accident-free and stands upright (no tipping over) and dates from the 1995 model year. It was bought as a new vehicle for an exclusive Ducati collection and was only registered in 2001.
In the collection it was admired and occasionally ridden until 2022. This year we had the opportunity to acquire this unrestored dream bike. It was then passed to a Ducati enthusiast friend, who has kept the vehicle in honor to this day. Since he wanted to keep it as a first-hand vehicle, he did not register it again. Now this unique bike is back with us. A dream for every true collector and an investment for every connoisseur, as these models have steadily risen in price in recent years.
It has matching frame, VIN, and engine numbers. We have had this verified by Ducati and our databases. In such good original condition, it is no longer available on the world market.
The bike runs fantastically and the engine is top-notch — an absolute dream bike. All documents you see in the pictures are included, as well as the original Termignoni carbon cans currently installed on the bike. The original Termignoni aluminum street cans and the original gold paddock stand. At the request of the customer, new tires were mounted in 2022. The first old tires from 1994 are still present and in good condition, see photos.
The vehicle is in perfect condition and completely unrestored. Only on the right side of the rear wheel rim, next to the Ducati Racing lettering, there is a small dent – color lift.

Upon the buyer’s request, we can have a new 21-point TÜV inspection prepared. Since the old 21-point TÜV Nord inspection could not be used for registration, the old TÜV Nord certificate from 2022 has expired. The last owner wanted it to remain in his collection as a 1st-hand vehicle and not be driven.
We will, of course, prepare this free of charge for the new buyer if desired. The inspection confirms for the new registration in Germany the correct VIN. The Italian registration office at that time apparently made a mistake in 2001 by inserting a (star) into the Italian vehicle title. The new 21-point TÜV inspection confirms the correction of the number-swapping error made by the Italian registration office. As you can also see in the old one in the photos. We have often heard of this issue with Italian 916s.
With the new 21-point TÜV inspection, the vehicle can be registered in Germany by the new owner without any problems.
If you are a buyer outside Germany, you will, of course, need to obtain a new complete inspection certificate in your country from your TÜV authority, as is customary for export vehicles. If you intend to register or ride the vehicle.
Viewing by appointment at our location.
Pickup and shipping are the responsibility of the buyer.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
