Dit kavel ademt de rijke Nederlandse wijngeschiedenis van de 20e eeuw. De portwijn is oorspronkelijk afkomstig uit de beroemde Douro-vallei in Portugal. In die periode was het voor vooraanstaande Nederlandse wijnkopers gebruikelijk om port in vaten te importeren en deze in eigen beheer te bottelen. Deze flessen zijn op de markt gebracht door de bekende en historische Bossche wijnhandelaar G. Verlinden & Zoon N.V. uit 's-Hertogenbosch. De flessen verkeren gezien hun leeftijd van ruim 50 jaar in een authentieke, vintage staat. Dankzij de schroefdoppen en de vermelding van "N.V." (vóórdat het bedrijf later Hofleverancier werd) is deze serie nauwkeurig te dateren in de jaren '60 of vroege jaren '70. De flessen vormen als complete set van acht stuks een fantastisch historisch ensemble.
