Description from the seller

The Rebirth of an Icon: Ducati Monster (BJ 2003) – A Masterpiece in Like-New Condition

There are motorcycles you ride – and there are motorcycles you craft as works of art. This Ducati Monster from the 2003 model year is the result of an uncompromising vision: the creation of the perfect Monster, more beautiful and meticulous than it ever left the Borgo Panigale factory floors. In a two-year, epic metamorphosis, this machine was completely rebuilt by a renowned master workshop from the ground up, right down to the last bolt. Here it wasn’t simply restored – a monument to the analog, raw Ducati era was established.

The bare facts of an obsession: 3,000 man-hours: Countless days and nights flowed into perfection, adjustment, and assembly. A manufacturer’s labor time that is simply priceless in money terms.

Flawless base: Every single component was completely dismantled. Frame, engine components, and small parts were gently shot-peened by ice, sand, or micro-bead blasting depending on material, to guarantee an absolutely flawless, pristine surface for refinement.

Top-tier finishing (~ €4,000): A depth of gloss unmatched anywhere. The exclusive paintwork was built up in around 15 meticulous layers. It gives the bike optical depth that, depending on the light, dramatically emphasizes the Monster’s muscular lines.

Coating & Anodizing (~ €3,000): No detail remained untouched. All metal and functional parts were refined with high-quality powder coatings and anodizing processes – for extreme protection and a noble, matte-gloss finish.

Upholstery craftsmanship (~ €2,000): The bespoke seat was redesigned by absolute master hands, perfectly adapted to the lines and covered with the finest materials. Ergonomy meets aesthetics.

Uncompromising new parts (~ €13,000): No compromises or half measures were made. If a part wasn’t absolutely perfect, it was replaced with high-quality original or refined new parts. The result: better than new.

This Ducati Monster combines the unadulterated, characterful riding feel of the iconic 2003 model year with the quality standard and look of a modern show bike. It is a absolute one-of-a-kind for collectors, enthusiasts, and aesthetes who seek something special and who appreciate the endless work behind this project. A motorcycle with a soul, built for eternity.

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
