Treasure of 16th-century typography: the complete works of the Roman historian Publius Cornelius Tacitus, accompanied by the famous critical and philological commentary by the Flemish humanist Justus Lipsius.
Printed in Lyon in 1576 from Antoon Gryphius's prestigious press, this volume marks a milestone of European Humanism.
