During the years 1920-1950, the Italian design and design studio GH McDonald commissioned these plaques to be made in leading Italian ceramic and porcelain factories.
There the work was handmade and glazed by a master painter.
This is a beautifully understated design.
The plaque is thus the result of a mid-century partnership.
