Description from the seller
New and in original packaging
2 x 700ml
43% ABV
Shipping within Europe only; no longer shipping to Malta or Cyprus
Older bottling -- 2022
Aroma: Intense peat smoke, earthy notes, a fresh sea breeze, and a touch of iodine. Complex sherry aromas and sweet vanilla round out the profile.
Taste: Robust peat smoke, a hint of iodine, sweet malt, and toasted oak. Notes of light heather, a pinch of sea salt, and hay join in.
Finish: Very long and elegant, featuring sweet dried fruits, salty campfire smoke, seaweed, and malt.
Newer bottling -- 2026
This Lagavulin is powerful, peaty, and distinctly smoky, yet far from flat or one-dimensional. Expect notes of peat smoke, campfire, and sea salt, complemented by spice, oak, and a dark, fruity sweetness. The characteristic medicinal, slightly iodine-like note may also emerge.
With an ABV of 43%, it remains robust yet highly drinkable. The 16 years of maturation lend the whisky added depth and roundness, allowing the smoke to harmonize beautifully with notes of wood, spice, and subtle sweetness.
