Decorative ornament - Loewe - Spain - Card game case

Description:
Elegant Loewe desk or travel case, stamped in gold with "Loewe Madrid-Barcelona", a brand that supplied the Royal Household since 1905. I have not located another identical specimen, so it is a rather uncommon piece. It dates from the period before the four L monogram, circa 1950-1965.

Exterior: fine-grain green leather exterior with brass hardware and a running hinge. Inside there is a lid with six gussets numbered 5, 25, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 and two pockets, to classify banknotes or tokens. On the base, a central brass tray and two leather-bound notebooks with gilt edges, one marked "CAJA", with moiré paper and a golden pencil in its loop. Interior lining of peach-colored moiré silk.

Condition: preserves the charm and patina of more than half a century. The leather has the tone and the slight stains and scuffs typical of aging, and the brass shows patina. Some edges of the gussets show wear. Does not include a key. It is sent exactly as shown in the photographs.
