AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Jean Marais by Jean Cocteau mainly refers to a homage work published in 1951 by the poet, playwright and filmmaker Jean Cocteau for the actor Jean Marais. This book literally seals in literature the story of one of the most mythical, intertwined, and creative couples of 20th-century French life.
The year 1975 corresponds to a double major literary event linking the two artists, twelve years after the death of Jean Cocteau.
Calmann-Lévy editions publish a new enriched edition of the homage work originally published in 1951. This 127-page version includes beautiful off-text photographic illustrations by Serge Lido, the famous photographer of the performing arts, as well as new sketches and drawings by Cocteau.
a signed autograph dedication from the hand of actor Jean Marais.
