AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Elegant and refined ornamental wooden casket dating from the 1970s–1980s, crafted in a historicist style with Neo-Gothic and Neo-Renaissance references, inspired by the rich tradition of European decorative craftsmanship of the 19th century.
A object of great charm, characterized by meticulous perforated woodwork, with elaborate floral motifs, vegetal swirls, symmetric interlaces and ornamental elements that embellish every side of the structure.
Particularly striking is the sloping lid, finely pierced and topped by an elegant central openwork crowning, with opposing volutes and a stylized heraldic motif, recalling the decorative taste of small historicist furnishings.
The side panels feature rich floral compositions, while the molded frames, shaped feet and the refined lower openwork band harmoniously complete the whole.
The warm amber tone of the wood, with its natural nuances, enhances the depth of the openwork and gives the piece a particularly evocative character.
The hinged lid opens to reveal an interior compartment, making the casket suitable for storing jewelry, small personal items, or precious mementos.
