Vintage table lamp dating from circa 1950–1960, made of ceramic.
Description from the seller
Hereby offered a beautiful and atmospheric vintage table lamp, fully designed in the style of a classic 19th-century salon or oil lamp.
The lamp is an absolute eye-catcher thanks to the richly decorated majolica/ceramic foot, featuring graceful hand-painted floral motifs and gold-colored accents. It stands on a sturdy, stepped brass base. The burner head is equipped with a decorative rotary knob (a nod to the old petroleum regulator) and carries a lovely, transparent glass storm cap with etched floral patterns and a wavy edge.
The lamp has been skillfully converted to electricity in the past and is fitted with a standard socket. Ideal for a warm, nostalgic effect in a classic, eclectic, or Hollywood Regency interior.
Specifications:
• Item type: Table lamp / Salon lamp (oil lamp model)
• Material: Porcelain/Majolica, Brass (yellow copper) and Glass
• Period: About 1960 - 1980 (second half of the 20th century)
• Country of origin: Europe (possibly France or Italy)
• Condition: In good, working vintage condition. The porcelain is fully intact with no chips or hairline cracks. The brass has a beautiful, authentic patina. See the photos for an accurate impression of the condition.
