Yak Bone Citipati Mala - Nepal - second half 20th century
This complete mala is hand-strung from barrel beads hand-carved and polished out of natural yak bone. Each bead is sculpted into a three-dimensional Citipati skull, with facial features detailed by delicate incised engraving. The bone boasts a natural creamy off-white and pale yellow base tone, marked by soft, naturally formed aged patina accumulated over years. The strand terminates in a vivid orange cotton tassel and holds a soft, rustic antique aesthetic.

Total weight: 91 g
Supplied complete with a luxury velvet jewellery pouch and presentation gift box.
