AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
A stunning and authentic pair of Art Deco bookends from the early 20th century (circa 1920–1930). These heavy bookends are a beautiful example of the geometric language of form that is so characteristic of the Art Deco period. The objects are composed of several types of solid natural stone, with an elegant interplay of dark gray and lighter mottled marble. The semicircular, layered shapes give the bookends a very architectural and stylish appearance. Thanks to the substantial weight of the solid marble, they are not only highly decorative but also highly functional for supporting heavy books on a sideboard, desk, or in the bookcase. A timeless addition to both a classical and a modernist interior.
Conditie
