Description from the seller

Dunhill Bruyère 51023 Pipe (1979) Gold 9k - Rare Double Marking "Diehl München" - Group 5 XL

Splendid and rare collection piece by Alfred Dunhill pipe "The White Spot" dating to 1979, in excellent aesthetic condition and conservation. This piece combines the excellence of British craftsmanship with extraordinary historical significance, ideal for demanding collectors as well as connoisseurs of high-end slow-burning tobacco.

Features and technical specifications:

* Manufacturer: Alfred Dunhill (London, England)

* Year of production: 1979 (certified by the year code mark "19" next to the Made in England inscription)

* Finish: Original briar, with its classic warm smooth Bordeaux/Mahogany coloration that enhances the elegant natural flame of the burl.

* Model / Shape: 51023 — Rendered into a splendid Bent Billiard with sinuous, perfectly balanced lines.

* Bowl size: Group 5 (XL / Extra Large), a generous measure highly sought after, great for long, meditative smokes.

* Mouthpiece: Black vulcanite with a tapered stem, enriched by the iconic "White Spot" (white dot) original and perfectly intact.

Exclusive premium details:

* 9kt Solid Gold Band: The pipe features a high-end assembly with a solid 9-carat gold decorative band bearing the official "375" hallmark accompanied by the classic Hallmarks of the British precious metals corporation.

* Double Historic Mark (Retailer Stamped): The briar clearly bears the stamp of the historic and prestigious luxury boutique "DIEHL München" (founded in 1868 in Munich, Germany). Dunhill used this double mark only for special supplies destined for Europe’s most important tobacconists of the era.

The pipe presents in excellent overall condition. The briar is sound, free of cracks or fillings. The stamps on the briar and on the gold band are sharp, deep and fully legible, a sign that the pipe has never undergone aggressive refinishing or reworking. The mouthpiece shows excellent retention and the internal tenon is original.

A historic piece of undeniable value and charm.
