demeyere - Side table - Chrome suitcase, Bakelite - Side table / smoking table

Standing Art Deco chrome smoking table designed by the Belgian firm Demeyere around 1920, and thereby one of the most renowned designers in Belgian history.

Free-standing model with six-angled profiles and spheres characteristic of the Art Deco period; the black parts are made of Bakelite.

The inner tray in the ashtray is removable and in excellent condition, as is the tray in superb condition.

Around the bottle holder the edging has been set with a trim, also finished in chrome.

The base was weighted with an iron inner pedestal to enhance the overall stability.

For transport this will be dismantled.

Auctioned pieces will be insured and shipped the upcoming Saturday ending the auction.
