3. Beschrijving (Nederlands)

4. Description (English)

Offered is a particularly rare and expressive figurative lamp base in Art Deco style.

The design depicts two graceful female figures/acrobats lying back-to-back on their shoulders with their legs raised straight into the air. Together, their legs form the slender shaft of the lamp, creating fantastic dynamics and a unique play of shadows in any interior.

The base is intricately finished with a woven rope motif. On the side of the rectangular base, the piece is marked with the model code "M 21" and features an impressed studio mark depicting a sailing boat.

Condition Report:

The lamp is in nice and authentic condition appropriate for its age. There are a few tiny chips/paint flakes present on the surface and along the edges (please refer to the detailed photographs for an accurate representation). The wiring and socket are functional.

A striking and rare eye-catcher for collectors of unique mid-century and sculptural lighting!
