Grand Mirror with Notched Frame in Patinated Wood – Baroque Style (Late 19th / Early 20th Century)
An antique piece with architectural character
Bring a bold, warm presence to your interior with this large wall mirror (110 x 63 cm).
Handcrafted at the end of the nineteenth century or the very early twentieth, this piece reprints the iconic geometric shape of the frames with ‘redents’ from the seventeenth century (Spanish and Flemish Baroque style).
What makes it charming
Architectural form: Frame with stepped notches ('redents') that structure the gaze and immediately add relief to a wall.
Brick-red/terracotta patina: A warm, luminous hue, enhanced by authentic signs of wear that reveal the material’s history.
Glass & back from the period: Beautiful old assembly with its solid hardwood back and mounting cable installed.
Perfect as a centerpiece above a fireplace, placed on an entryway console, or hung in a living room with a bold décor!
