This piece is an original creation by THREAD RAGS, an independent workshop based in France.

It is made from an authentic used LOUIS VUITTON Keepall, available in 50, 55 or 60, selected and transformed to create a unique piece blending luxury, second-hand and textile art.

The creation features a tapestry (100% cotton) depicting an interpretation of La Liberté guidant le Peuple, the iconic work by Eugène Delacroix, as well as a black waterproof inner lining.

Each piece is handmade in France. Its production requires several weeks of work, from the preparation and design of the different elements to their assembly and finishing touches.

About the creation:

Using a second-hand LOUIS VUITTON base is an integral part of THREAD RAGS’ approach. Each bag may thus feature light marks, traces or peculiarities related to its prior use. These characteristics are inherent to the second-hand nature of the piece and may vary from one item to another. They contribute to the unique character of each creation.
The materials used for the realization are authentic. The transformation, customization and finishes are carried out by THREAD RAGS in France.

This piece is an independent creation by THREAD RAGS based on an authentic LOUIS VUITTON base. La Liberté guidant le Peuple being a public domain work, this textile creation constitutes an independent interpretation of the original work.

This creation is not an official collaboration with LOUIS VUITTON or the work in question. The proposed creation is therefore the result of THREAD RAGS’ design, transformation and realization work.

This piece is made to order to allow the selection and preparation of the base as well as the realization of the textile creation.

Estimated lead time: 4 to 6 weeks from order validation. The lead time may vary slightly depending on the availability of the LOUIS VUITTON base and the production process.
