AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Mid-20th-century decorative window carved from solid wood and enriched with brass fittings, inspired by traditional architectural models with Oriental influence. The piece features a robust rectangular frame, composed of two folding leaves framed by a heavily worked surround with geometric motifs and hand-carved ornamentation. Its design stands out for the harmonious combination of the warmth of reddish wood and the golden sheen of brass, creating an attractive visual contrast of great decorative richness.
The leaves are articulated by metal hinges and decorated with a succession of geometric relief panels, centered by octagonal brass rosettes that act as focal elements of the composition. The riveted horizontal metal bands reinforce both the structure and the artisanal character of the ensemble, evoking ancient palace doors and windows. The exterior frame incorporates a delicate continuous carving with repetitive motifs that adds depth and refinement to the piece.
The patina acquired through use and the passage of time enhances the authenticity of the materials, while the small irregularities inherent to handmade work reinforce its uniqueness. Beyond its original function, this window can be used as a decorative wall element, an ornamental headboard, or an architectural accent piece in eclectic, colonial, or ethnically inspired interiors. Its sculptural presence and careful artisanal execution make it a decorative object of great personality, capable of lending historical character and visual richness to any space.
Certified shipping and careful packaging.
