Description from the seller

The Handwritten Ownership Note (Inner Page)

In the center of the blank page, written in dark ink and cursive script, are the following details:
• Rottenstein Jan Tov – The full name of the book's owner, written in a traditional Central European style where the surname comes first.
• The family name Rottenstein is written first and emphasized with a long underline.
• The given names Jan Tov follow right after. "Jan" is the secular/European variant he used, paired with his Hebrew name "Tov" (Yom Tov), which also features a small underline.
• 1944 VIII 15 – The exact Gregorian date written using Roman numerals for the month. 1944 is the year, VIII represents the 8th month (August), and 15 is the day.
• Haifa – The name of the city Haifa in northern Israel, indicating where the owner resided or where the book was signed.

2. The Title Page (The Reversed Ink Stamp)

In the lower section of the title page, just above the Hebrew words for "Izreel Publishing", there is a faint, mirrored ink transfer (offset print) from the facing page that reads:
• Printed in Erez Israel (Palestine) – This official mandatory-era English marking translates to "נדפס בארץ ישראל (פלשתינה)".
• Under British Mandatory law, adding "(Palestine)" next to "Erez Israel" was a legal requirement for all locally manufactured goods and printed publications during those years.

3. The Outer Leather Cover (Bezalel Work)

• There are no English words or Latin characters on the exterior leather cover. All the gilded inscriptions ("Bezalel", "Jerusalem", and "The Wailing Wall") are stamped strictly in Hebrew characters.
Would you like to proceed with an estimated appraisal of this Bezalel Bible's value in today's Judaica market, or should we search for archival records regarding Jan Tov Rottenstein's life in 1940s Haifa
The book is damaged and is missing pages.

The most well-founded estimate is that the tefillin were produced between the 1930s and the 1950s (making them 70 to over 90 years old).

Jerusalem Panorama (with gold lettering). [1]

Brand and Manufacturer: Amy Ltd. – a long-established and well-known Israeli company that manufactures and imports religious articles, Judaica, and souvenirs. [1, 2, 3]

Production Technology: The figurine is crafted using electroforming technology, which allows for the creation of precise, intricate reliefs and details over a rigid polyresin core. [1, 2, 3]

Materials and Plating: A premium metallic finish in a sterling silver tone, accented with gold plating on the domes of the structures and the lettering. The piece is coated with a clear lacquer to protect it against oxidation and tarnishing over time. [1, 2, 3]

Base: A sturdy, stable black stand, featuring an "Amy" brand authenticity sticker alongside a traditional Hamsa symbol.

In this bundle, there are two antique items—a book and a pair of tefillin—that were produced before and during the Second World War.
