Antique violin from ca. 1880–1920, brand unknown, model unknown, wood, not functional and in need of restoration, included with a hard-shell case.
Description from the seller
For sale: a very old, extremely high-quality violin with case.
The beautiful antique is in used condition and has been kept in a case for decades.
An absolutely high-quality, beautiful instrument worthy of preservation! An antique with exceptional coloration and an exciting body. An absolutely superb execution. The back has been exquisitely designed.
The old instrument comes from an antique dealer in Vienna and was kept for decades in a collection of old violins there. Now the violin should find a new owner.
The violin is in need of restoration but in its original state. The violin shows signs of use due to age; a sound post has fallen, and there is a small crack on the front of the body, reflecting the original patina.
Details on condition – See pictures.
Dimensions of the violin:
Total length: 55.8 cm
Body length: 33.5 cm
Upper bout width: 13.5 cm
Middle bout width: 10.8 cm
Lower bout width: 19.5 cm
Weight: 350 grams
Period – approx. 1880 to 1920
A case is included.
