Description from the seller
A0000006674
Item: LARGE PARKER VACUMATIC FOUNTAIN PEN, in amber-gold laminated celluloid with black semi-transparent horizontal stripe, arrow clip and gold-plated fittings
Length: 13.3 cm
Diameter: 1.3 cm
Nib: F
Period: 1940s
Materials: Body and cap in striped amber-gold semi-transparent laminated celluloid, with a perimeter imprint "MADE IN PARKER VACUMATIC" on the barrel. 14-karat gold nib with Parker arrow engraved and with ebonite feed; black section. Arrow clip and cap rings gold-plated. Vacuum filling system (vacumatic), with plastic pushbutton under the threaded crest, characteristic of the model.
Condition: Very good overall preservation for its age. The celluloid retains its shine, with no cracks or noticeable losses; the stripes, originally transparent, have darkened to an amber hue over time, as is common in the model. The gold plating on the clip and cap rings shows slight wear from use and the rings retain the engraving well. The nib is straight and aligned, with no visible bends, a light patina and small traces of old ink. Minor signs of use typical of the period.
Complements: Only the loose piece; no box or papers visible in the photos.
The photographs are part of the description.
