Description from the seller
Reserve price 39 euros
Original poster created for the exhibition "Burri Inedito", organized by the Burri Foundation, the Municipality of Città di Castello and the Province of Perugia, at the historic Ex Seccatoi del Tabacco in Città di Castello, from June 23 to September 30, 2000.
Alberto Burri (1915–1995) was a fundamental figure in 20th-century art, among the great innovators of contemporary language, capable of transforming matter, combustions, sacks, plastics and cretzes into a new expressive form that deeply influenced international art.
The image reproduces "Nero e Oro" (1993), one of the most representative works of Burri’s late production, characterized by the unmistakable balance between material, geometry and precious gold leaf inserts.
The exhibition, staged a few years after the artist’s death, featured unreleased or rarely exhibited works, offering a new reading of his final production and contributing to the enhancement of the artistic heritage of one of the major protagonists of Italian art of the 20th century.
Original poster of the period, printed to promote the exhibition.
