For sale: A beautiful and fully complete 4-piece tin drink set from the Art Deco period (the 1930s), designed by the renowned designer Theo Hooft for the Gero factory in Zeist.
The set is executed in the tight, modernist geometric style that is so characteristic of the Amsterdam School and the Dutch Art Deco.
The set consists of:
• 1 tin pouring jug with a sleek, angular handle
• 2 matching tin cups
• 1 original tin presentation tray / serving tray
Marks and authenticity:
The underside of the jug bears the official, rectangular "GERO" factory stamp and the stylized designer monogram (the interwoven letters 'T' and 'H') of Theo Hooft.
Condition:
The set is in a beautiful, authentic vintage state with a few small dings and a wonderfully lived-in, matte gray patina. The set has deliberately not been polished to preserve the original antique look and value.

Te koop aangeboden: Een prachtige en volledig complete 4-delige tinnen drankset uit de Art Deco periode (jaren '30), ontworpen door de bekende vormgever Theo Hooft voor de Gero-fabriek in Zeist.
De set is uitgevoerd in de strakke, modernistisch geometrische stijl die zo kenmerkend is voor de Amsterdamse School en de Nederlandse Art Deco.
De set bestaat uit:
• 1 Tinnen schenkkan met een strak, hoekig handvat
• 2 Bijpassende tinnen bekers
• 1 Origineel tinnen presenteerblad / dienblaadje
Merken en echtheid:
De onderzijde van de kan is voorzien van het officiële, rechthoekige "GERO" fabrieksstempel en het gestileerde ontwerpersmonogram (de in elkaar gevlochten letters 'T' en 'H') van Theo Hooft.
Staat:
De set verkeert in een mooie, authentieke vintage staat wel met enkele kleine deukjes  met een prachtig doorleefd, matgrijs patina. De set is bewust niet glimmend gepoetst om de originele antieke uitstraling en waarde te behouden.
