Description from the seller

The artisanal manufacturer Ceramiche Melior (mainly active in Sesto Fiorentino near Florence, and closely linked to the workshops and highly coveted styles of the Republic of San Marino) is emblematic of Italian artistic ceramics from the mid-20th century.
This plate is part of a series of highly memorable pieces from the brand, characterized by a blend of bold techniques:
• An expressionist and cubist decor: The graphic features stylized silhouettes of bottles interwoven with each other, a recurring motif in Italian modernist aesthetics and the Space Age movement of the 1960s.
• The use of "Fat Lava" glazes: Rich, rugged, volcanic textures are observed at the center, creating a strong tactile contrast with the surrounding glossy glazes (bright orange, cobalt blue and turquoise).
