Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Visconti Van Gogh fountain pen with a black resin body and palladium‑plated metal fittings, made in Italy, from 2000–2010, 14.5 cm long and 1.3 cm in diameter, one piece, in good used condition and fully functional with a steel nib.
Description from the seller
The pen is presented in very good overall condition, showing careful preservation and in line with moderate use.
The black resin body maintains excellent shine and depth, with slight micro-scratches on the surface typical of use, visible only under direct light and not at all affecting its overall aesthetics. No cracks, dents or deformations are observed.
The palladium-finished metal elements, such as the clip and the central ring engraved “Van Gogh,” are in very good condition, preserving their definition and legibility. Very fine signs of use or micro-scratches can be seen, consistent with the passage of time, but without material loss or significant wear.
The steel nib is in excellent condition, clean, well aligned and ready for use. The pen has been inspected and tested, guaranteeing proper operation of the filling system and smooth writing.
The screw-closure system works smoothly and precisely, ensuring a firm closure.
Overall, this is a very well-preserved piece, fully operational and ready for both use and collection.
Conservation recommendations
It is recommended to use high-quality inks specifically for fountain pens, avoid pigmented inks, clean with lukewarm water if not used for a while, dry completely before storing, keep in a dry place away from direct light and extreme temperatures, and always operate the system gently to preserve its mechanism.
It will be shipped in a courtesy box for proper conservation. Happy bidding!
