Description A magnificent and imposing charger, boldly decorated in rich, saturated cobalt-blue with a powerful composition of five five-clawed dragons coiling and swirling amidst billowing clouds and flaming pearls at the centre. The dragons are dynamically arranged, each with fierce expression, scaled bodies and outstretched claws — symbolising imperial authority and celestial power. The rim is encircled by a continuous border of stylised clouds and bats in flight, all beneath a finely drawn key-fret band. The base bears a six-character "Kangxi Reign of the Great Qing" mark in underglaze blue — a later period copy / hall mark. A striking statement piece of impressive scale and presence.
