AI-assisted summary
Description from the seller
Empoli Verde Bubble Glass – extraordinary green glass bowl with handle, Italy, 1960s
Description:
Exceptional Italian Empoli bubble glass bowl made from intensely green glass, presumably from the 1960s.
The bowl features a highly tactile and decorative surface with numerous fused, three-dimensional bubble/nodule applications. Particularly appealing is the long, curved, decoratively rolled glass handle.
The unusual, asymmetrically curved form and the intense green coloration are characteristic of Italian Empoli glass from the Mid-Century period. Comparable green Bubble Glass objects are explicitly attributed in the international vintage market to Empoli, Italy, the 1960s.
The piece is unmarked, but is attributed to Empoli due to its characteristic form, color, and workmanship.
Dimensions:
Total length with handle: ~22 cm
Bowl: ~10.5 × 10.5 cm
Height: ~8 cm
Condition:
Very good overall age-appropriate condition. The exterior of the bowl is undamaged, all glass applications and the handle are fully intact. Inside, there are visible signs of use, especially on the bottom of the bowl. No chips or cracks detected.
