Beautiful decorative art poster with an Art Nouveau scene originally created as an entry for a poster competition for the magazine The Century. The original was created by Maxfield Parrish for The Century: Midsummer Holiday Number for August 1897. This design for a poster competition ultimately won the second prize.
The Century was an American monthly magazine in which fiction and poetry were published. With a wide range of articles on history, politics, science and, for example, travel. Almost all accompanied by beautiful illustrations.

Poster published by: Haddad's Fine Art in California and The Brooklyn Museum in New York
