Description from the seller

Large antique hand-forged copper boiler / wash boiler with rugged rivetwork – 18th/19th century
authentic and very sturdy antique copper boiler (possibly a wash boiler, brew kettle, or wooden tub) from the 18th or 19th century.
This object exudes pure craftsmanship and is completely handmade.
What makes this boiler particularly characteristic is the heavy construction with a vertical seam that is firmly sealed with large, handmade copper rivets. The heavy bottom is also completely surrounded by an impressive array of rivets (see detail photo), which testifies to a very solid, artisanal craft.
At the top the boiler is equipped with thick, hand-forged copper/brass lifting eyes and a sturdy ring/link, to which a large handle is attached.
The copper has gained a splendid patina through the wear of time, with here and there the characteristic greenish copper oxide traces (verdigris), which further enhances its historic appearance.
Hammered red copper, yellow copper/brass fittings.
Fully hand-forged with riveted connections.
The boiler is in good used condition with signs of age and wear
