Vesta case - .925 silver

Combination Vesta and stamp case
This best features a hidden integral stamp compartment hallmarked JG Joseph Gloster a highly prolific Vesta maker from Birmingham .
The stamp flap is stamped BG which is highly likely a markers mark for Benjamin Fowler a specialised Birmingham mechanical trade silversmith, he was particularly well known for manufacturing small complex or mechanical silver components such as spring loaded stamp compartments, secret compartments and multi purpose fold mechanisms which he supplied directly to larger silver smithing houses like Joseph Gloster
