Chest - Spruce - Hand-painted folk art

Small decorative wooden chest made of dark-stained wood and hand-painted in color. The lid is decorated with a colorful bouquet of flowers and ornamental, curved border embellishments.

The front features three decorative sections with turned, column-like decorative elements. In the middle panel there is a striking red heart motif, surrounded by small flowers. The colored dot border and the floral ornaments give the piece its characteristic folk charm.

In its design, the chest recalls the traditional painted Schnetter chests from the Thuringian Forest. A definite regional attribution is not possible. Based on the craftsmanship, later production in the traditional style is also possible.

Lock: keyhole present, key missing

Condition: used condition with age-related signs and partial loss of paint, especially on the lid. The signs of wear are documented in the photos.
