AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

You are bidding on a very fine 4/4 master violin, labeled Camillus de Camilli fecit in Mantua 1750. The instrument remains in good condition with old professionally repaired cracks on top plate and sides, not under the bridge, good boxwood and ebony set up and new strings.
The violin has a straight high to medium grained spruce of the top and one piece back of softly flamed maple with matched sides. The inlaid purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. The varnish of golden amber color remains in good condition. The whole length of the violin is 582 mm and the back 353 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 166 mm; middle bouts: 111 mm; lower bouts: 207 mm. The sound is very deep, rich, warm and powerful, suitable for soloist. Don't hesitate to contact me for any questions. Shipping worldwide insured!

Violins and bows described as 'certified' or 'attributed' include images of their certificates and are therefore considered to have a higher degree of documented certainty regarding maker, origin, and age than instruments described only as 'labelled' (violins) or 'stamped' (bows), for which we provide no guarantee of any kind
