A rare vintage collectors-item: this authentic, heavy Moncler down jacket combines an ultra bomber silhouette with premium Klasse 1 down for extreme warmth.

This powerful, matte black down jacket is an impressive piece from Moncler's rich history. The jacket is designed as a robust bomber and offers exceptional protection and warmth, thanks to the filling with superior Klasse 1 down that remains wonderfully puffy to this day.

The sturdy, matte outer material gives the jacket a rough, tough look. Typical of the bomber design, the thick cotton waistband and cuffs close snugly to keep the cold out flawlessly (note: the waistband contains extremely high stretch and comfortably expands up to 60 cm!).

The jacket is richly equipped with utilitarian details: two roomy flap pockets at the front with buttons, two extra chest pockets, and a special utility-pocket with zip and two pen holders on the left sleeve. Of course, the classic Moncler felt logo on the left shoulder is present.

The finish showcases absolute craftsmanship from this period. The jacket closes with a heavy, two-way zipper (equipped with iconic silver Moncler hangers), extra protected by a storm flap with buttons. The zipper can be closed up high, completely shielding the neck from the cold. The fixed hood sits high at the back of the neck and can be adjusted with drawstrings. Inside, the jacket is also perfectly finished, with an additional zip pocket and — notably for a jacket this age — a beautifully preserved and authentic 'Monduck' cartoon-patch that is still firmly attached.

• Remarks: For its vintage age, this jacket is in exceptionally neat condition. The down is still beautifully full, the cotton bands are intact, and the iconic Monduck cartoon is still firmly attached. Along a few edges and seams there is very light natural fading of the black, which is completely normal for a vintage item of this caliber and adds to the authentic character, as detailed in the photos.
